Srdjan Antic, FIBA instructor, Vladimir Koprivica, professor, Sanja Peric, psychotherapist and Milica Vukadionovic, former basketball player and bachelor of economics at Berkeley University of California. gave a lecture on “The impact of coordination exercises on children’s cognitive development and the balance between hyperactivity and hypokinesia”.
As part of the continuous training of teachers, educators and associates by conducting experimental classes and extracurricular activities, a lecture was held at the premises of the Karadjordje Elementary School, with the aim of presenting Basketball eurythmy, a project created by the Sport Club “Serhispana”, with its branches “Basketball IQ Academy” , “Basketball Are Us” and “Sports Are Us”.
Positive effects of this program on the development of cognitive abilities and influence on solving problems of hypokinesia (decrease in motor function or activity; impaired ability to move) and hyperactivity (how to direct a hyperactive child to become a hyper-productive person), as well as the effect of collective training on the development of social intelligence and leadership skills (taking personal responsibility within the group).
The lecture was attended by teachers from the Karadjordje Elementary School, as well as interested parents and students of this school.
